What is not covered in your Car Insurance?

All the car insurance companies provide car insurance for your private car and offer protection only for damages as defined in the policy terms & conditions.

A private car insurance policy will not cover the following situations or incidents:

  • If the car owner causes accidental damage or loss due to willful negligence
  • If the car causes accidental loss or damage if the driver is under the influence of intoxicating liquor or drugs
  • If the loss or liability that has occurred, while the vehicle is being used outside the scope of limitations of use and/or being driven by a person not duly licensed
  • A Consequential loss, depreciation, wear & tear, mechanical & electrical breakdown / failure of breakages - on account of the fault of the manufacturer
  • If the loss is due to nuclear weapons or radioactivity
  • If the loss is due to war and other related activities
