How to Save on Insurance

A. No Claim Bonus

When you do not claim the insurance for an entire year, you are rewarded a discount while renewing your policy for the following year. This discount is referred to as No Claim Bonus (NCB) and it progressively increases for every year that you don't make a claim. It may range from anywhere between 10-50%. B. Automobile Association Membership Discount

If you hold a valid membership from a recognized Automobile Associations such as Automobile Association in India a discount @ 5% of the Own Damage premium, subject to a maximum of Rs.200/- for a Private Car and maximum of Rs.50/- for a Motorized Two Wheeler may be allowed. It is, however, clarified that irrespective of the number of Associations of which an insured may be a member, discount for only one membership of such Association is to be permitted. C. Anti-Theft Device

An anti-theft device is an instrument that protects your vehicle from being stolen. In case your car is fitted with an ARAI approved anti theft device, insurers will offer an additional discount 2.5% on the premium. This discount is offered because an anti-theft device will make your car less susceptible to any theft.
